Our Fries
At Frietsteeg, we make fries the way we like them: fresh, with a good potato and cooked just right. No frozen or industrial stuff – we cut our fries every day from potatoes grown in the Dutch soil. We choose varieties that cook well and, most importantly, taste great.
First, we gently pre-cook the fries in oil at a low temperature. Then, we cool everything down to exactly 5°C. Only when you order do your fries get their second cooking. This way, the inside stays soft and the outside becomes golden brown and crispy.
We cook in 100% vegetable oil and leave the skin on the potato for the flavour and to reduce waste. You can taste the difference.
Our Specialty
Fries are fries – but we try to make them just a bit better. A firm favourite is fries with parmesan and truffle mayonnaise.
Sustainability
We strive to work as honestly as possible. We cook in vegetable oil and keep our fries in the skin – that saves waste and work. Used oil is converted into biodiesel.
Outside the shop, we also lend a hand. We keep the street clean and contribute to a tidy neighbourhood.
